| October 2009 Update | | Hope you all are having good days =) | | Children Homes:
We want to thank the Lord and thank each of you once again for being there for us and praying for us and supporting us the ministry in many ways. we are doing good and things are fine with us. the kids in the homes are having holidays for the big celebration of the hindus here, its called "Festival of lights", its a 10 days celebration for them and school gets closed for almost a month but this time the holidays are only for 2 weeks as the schools were closed earlier due to swine flu. but our kids are doing great, even though few had fallen sick (but wasnt swine flu, but normal flu and fever and cold etc).
Tailoring schools:
The Tailoring school ladies got graduated and we have 45 women who finished the second batch of training. We praise God for their achievement, and one thing that encourages me is that, 5 ladies have turned to the Lord through this school. and few ladies have already gotten part time jobs in textile shops. and the goverment will be giving them free tailoring machines as they have a certificate of completion of course from Concern and Care. its very helpful for their families as many women who come are married and their husbands have lost jobs due to recession.
Our need: To having a place of our own to start the nursery school for the kids on the street and a shelter for them as well. so its our desire to have a place of our own if God willing to start something like that. Because renting places have become way too expensive and we really think it will be wiser for us to have a place of our own even if it has to be small. A vehicle for us: Been our prayers for a long time now and we continue to pray for this.
5 tailoring machines: we really need 5 more machines in 2 different tailoring schools for us. The 3rd batch starts in January in a new place. so please pray with us.
We would like to have volunteers helping us in the area of tailoring and education, so please pray that the Lord sends people with like minded vision and passion.
Praise God with us: for His wisdom and guidance in all the areas. and thank Him for making us His disciples and that we are able to reflect Jesus through our lives. Want to thank Him for chosing us to serve Him and serve the community around us. we are truly blessed people. thanks a lot for praying for us and having a place in your heart.
